Hey everyone. I'm new to Star Wars minis, and I'm in a bit of a bind. My friend and I bought a some minis, and we really want to start playing. Unfourtionatly, the game store in my area was sold out of starters. :( We have everything we need except a map. If anyone knows where I can find a printable one online, I would be really grateful. I don't want to rip Wizards of, a blank one would do until the store gets more starters in. Thanks in advance.:)

Finding a Star Wars map might be tough, but have you searched for D&D ones?

Have you got Advanced HeroQuest, Space Hulk or games like that? I intend on creating some scenarios using mpas creating form these games.

The third option would be to simply use graph paper.

Another alternative is to see if your local game stores carry a vinyl "battlemat" with 1" squares on it. This gives you the added advantage that you can draw walls, rooms, terrain, etc. with the right kind of pens (type of pen may vary with manufacturer of battlemat).

If you get really desparate, you could draw a 1" grid on several large sheets of paper.

The map that comes with the game has various rooms on one side, but the other side is an empty grid.

If you are still looking you could download this one from WotC for D&D, Lost Temple (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mit/20040526golalternate)
Or this one a guy made and i am hosting, Cantina.pdf (http://swminisinfoworld.com/sw-map-cantina.pdf)

i second the battle mats idea they work very, very well and you dont need to print out a myriad of sheets. you can draw in the level of detail/information as needed..

and they really arent that expensive..worth the price really..

My group probably won't ever touch the maps. We will just use measuring tape, or counted hexes from that Heroscape minis game.
