The Qui-Gon image is a bit fuzzy, but Mace looks great.

I'm waiting on WotC to add the entire set to their webpage. I'd like to see what we can look forward to in this particular set. ;)

Just looking at the stats we've seen so far for Clone Strike, I have a bad feeling about the trend being set here.

I'm wondering if as more sets are released, the characters in older sets are going to be underwhelmed?

Now I understand that the Jedi of the Prequel Era are supposed to be fairly powerful, but comparing a lot of the info spoiled so far (a far chunk of which would seem to be accurate, especially the stuff Genghis Ska has shared with us) it looks like most of the figures, especially the uniques, are more powerful than the Rebel Storm uniques for similar costs.

Let's consider Darth Vader, Sith Lord, considered one of the most, if not the most powerful figure in the Rebel Storm set. Now let's look at Mace Windu, who at three points more cost could rip Vader apart w/o too much trouble. Then there's Darth Maul, who has a 19-20 threat range, double attack, can add +10 to damage for a Force Point, and can make a 1 square move after killing an opponent towards another enemy, a move that doesn't draw an attack of opportunity, and then attack. And he's 55 points.

Then there's the comments from the minis chat a while back that the Yoda in Revenge of the Sith will be over 60 points. I'm curious as to just how over-the-top he's gonna be.

Like I said at the top, I understand that the Jedi are supposed to be powerful, as the prequels show the Jedi in their heyday. But after two or three more sets, are the Rebel Storm figures going to be so outclassed as to not really be worth it? I hope not, although Wizard's other big collectible game (I will not defile these boards by uttering that name) has suffered from the same trend almost since it's inception.

One of the things that has been hinted at is that Clone Wars and Rebellin Era Figures arent really suppossed to be played against each other.

if there is a design that All Clone Wars things are tougher, and would wipe the floor with the Rebels there may be good reason for that...

Well, the designers of the d6 Star Wars game have said that when the rules were written, they never intended characters to be played more than a dozen game sessions, and it's pretty clear that hasn't been the case. I for one am not going avoid having a Separtist force duke it out with the Rebels, or have an all-Jedi brigade go head-to-head with the Empire. And I have a sneaking suspicion there's a lot of people playing this game that won't avoid cross-era battles just because the game designers said they aren't supposed to.

As I stated earlier, I don't have too much of a beef with Clone Strike figures being a step up overall compared to Rebel Storm. My concern is that each new set continues to be a step or two up from the prior set, which would make the basic set seem lackluster.

After all, I'd imagine from the 4th set onwards, we'll get a mix of the five factions. It would still be nice if the commons and uncommons from Rebel Storm could still be viable against the commons and uncommons from later sets.

I am not gonna have any problem running era vs era clashes. Though if I am doing actual missions then I wont let it happen.

I am just looking forward to getting my hands on these mini's

I'm really pumped up for this set. I haven't finished completing the Rebel Storm set (still missing 3 figures), but I am gonna focus on Clone Strike for the time being. I'm gonna head to the local gaming shop and see if they have any cases coming in tomorrow.
