The game will be starting as soon as every ones character concepts are in. Send them either myself or TK-195 as he is co-GM for this little group. Before we start I just wanted to post the ship I'm providing and ask if their are any mods you would like to request. You will all be starting off together so this is your ship, take care of it. I'll post any updates here also if any questions feel free to ask. Now I'll shut up. Here's your ship, remember you're smugglers first and formost so try not to weigh yourselfs down with alot of crazy weapons or anything. I'll allow most reasonable requests.

I personally love these ships. The Gallofrees are modular and good ships for modification backbones. The main thing on this ship is to improve the Hyperdrive and install a backup. If the most powerful Max can see to helping his poor meager smugglers with maybe a x2 Drive and a x10 backup. It would make us the envy of all. And if we could possible swing a few Quad-Laser cannons for "real" offensive fire. The point defense is good for defense, but if you had to hit them hard to back off.

ok i figured that would be the first thing to chg so being the gracious host that i am (and feeling bad about the horrible things i'm gonna do to ya:D ) i will up grade the hyperdrive. heres how it stands so far. and i'll consider weapons after you tell me the fire arcs and how you want the arranged so i know if i'll approve it or not.

For the weapons I was thinking a Quad in front, a Quad on a turret on top, and aft concussion missles. If you feel like giving use some more, how a couple Ion Cannons for icing?

I might be willing to give those also. since it may work a little better with the nature of the game i'm preparing. i'll give a definate answer tomorrow. only need one or two more characters now. I have a total of 3 pc's right now.

In the SotG sourcebook, it doesn't have a atmosphereic spend for the Gallofree, but we know it can from Eps 5. Can it be added?

ok atmospheric speed. I don't have SotG here at work with me but the rcrb is on my comp. I'll give it say 950km/h. the closest thing i could find in this book is a large ship 115m and it can go 950km/h it has the same engines and such

That sounds awesome. Can we modify it so the lower half isn't hanging open with it's guts exposed? Just turn that area into a large cargo bay or several smaller ones(preferrable). Doing that instead the whole cargo cantainer "Lookie what I got" "See Me, Hit Me" kind of cargo area.

that shouldnt be a problem. i'll look at the ship when i get home a see. unless you know exactly how you'd want it. if so i'll probably consider it. BTW i'll give you the 2 quads you wanted (make one a longshot quad) the missles are ok also and an Ion cannon won't hurt either i suppose, but that'll be about it for weapon mods. remember those things take from cargo space and all even though you have alot to spare.:D

That's more than enough weapons. Too many and you can't use them if you wanted to because you don't have the manpower. With cargo hold, I was just thinking of continuing the same hull design on the top and flatening out the bottom. With a large cargo door on the front for the loading of cargo.

Good to see you, can't wait to get this game off the ground. Should be fun. What is your character? Mine is a short and stocky Rybet (Kinda looks like a frog) that's ill tempered. Mainly just crabby. Smokes cigars, and complains about almost everything in life. Rockin pilot though, and not shabby on repair. If I can get my scanner working with my laptop (CURSE YOU WINDOW GODS!!! CURSE YOU ALL!!!!). My desk top got a virus and is getting fixed, and my USB port on my laptop is being difficult. My character is 1 meter tall, and about half that wide. He's a little above average strength for his species. Nimble as hell though. Wears a brown flightsuit with flight goggles on his head. The cigars are probably the worst things you've ever smelled. So feel free to complain about those all the time he gets them from Nal Hutta if that tell you anything.

ok folks. no word from our fourth player. hopefully he will be getting back to me soon. its ok though i have an npc ready to help you all out til we get someone else or maybe two someones. mission will be getting underway monday or tuesday depending on if i can sort it all out and deal with easter. so just a little longer i promise. i figure the ship mod requests are done so we'll roll with it as is. i just need to add the weapons requested.

heya all, you might like this, well sorta...

I had begun whipping up a set of gallofree deckplans early december then got swamped with everything else festivity related. Anyhow, I had started on it, and its still unfinished.

The thread for it was

I'd like to finish it and have an actual set of deckplans, just not sure when i'll be able to tackle it again. That and the fact theres some questions / doubts about that little pod on the ship being sensors or too small to be cockpit, if so- where is the cockpit - front nose area? (I think when i last thought about it, i wagered on the nose area). Theres also the crew areas questions i had been contemplating... Theres quite the discusion on it in the thread anyways, if anyone would like to add their thoughts / opinions...

Anywhoo, see'ing you've opted for this ship, and I do look forward to reading along about this adventure, it does give me some renewed moivation in free'ing up some time to tackle and finish those plans again ;) I did have 2 variations in the works - open and closed hulls, and a couple mods in mind...

Well, thats all for now, i'll be checking back time to time, and will most definately let ya know if/when I get around to working on it again ;) (will be able to take your mod / design ideas and make a variant for ya at that time)

If I could modify the ship with all the stuff I wanted I would put it closer to the center (USS Defiant like), and use Holoscreens instead of looking out a window. That's just for a battleship type. Since we're smugglers it's not that important. I think the cockpit is located in the nose. If not we can just say it is for game play.

Hi all,

ok got the Character done here's a little description (pending gm approval of character):

he's about 5' 11" around 170 pound human male with blonde hair and blue eyes, he dresses pretty casual in pants and whatever color shirt he's got laying around. when working on somthing he wears a old set of coveralls (when he knows he's gonna work on something) that's got more stains than the ship probably does. He only has about 2 or 3 decent sets of clothing.

His attitude is very laided back (he's a happy go lucky type of guy), and he loves to joke around, in just about any situation.

Trace (A.K.A. me):
Hey ya'll, i think i figured out what this thing-a-ma-jig is! it looks like a power conduit to the fresher! Oooops... uh hey guys... might wanna stay outta the fresher for a bit... (in a lower voice)... now i wonder if i were to... nope... what about... uh-uh... HEY! there we go! never mind guys! Its ok to go poo now! (all the while knowing exactly what he was doing to fix the power problem in the fresher)
oh and hey the litter box needs cleaned!!!!!!!
gotta go check the cargo hold lights now... later guys.

Hey max feel free if its ever me holding things up to post for me too, he just acts as co-pilot for Brok when nothing needs fixing on order to give the +2 cooperation bonus to his flying.

On the ground he'll be the on looking for cover in a fight and trying to stay alive! hehehe not a coward just hates getting blaster burns all over his coveralls.

other than that he'll just try and fix things that break.

Shouldn't have to wait on me much at all though because as i'm sure you can all tell i'm on here daily hehehe.

here is a short description of one of the new players

From Corellia, the soldier-merc had flown ships,
bodyguarded, and had odd jobs (nothing sexual) to
survive abit and live. he also has skill in hunting
which he likes to spend in the wilds alone or in small
party, and live off the land. Recently, he was
approached by an unknown faction and hired as a pilot.
he had flown a few missions, but isn't particularly
thrilled with it so far. quick witted and aptitude
for technology and survival, also good with weapons.

Gotta love the clarification on odd jobs

I won't just ramdomly kill off pc's but Darth Balmung "Borsk the bothan" hasn't posted in over 3 weeks and never replied to a few pm's sent over two weeks ago. so he was cut from the team. if anyone knows they won't be able to post for some time let me know i'll post for you or something. LOL as for the program I used it was Power Point belive it or not, All I did was cover the page with a square to make the picture even, put a grid (square shape no fill with straight lines running horizontal and vertical evenly) on it, then used auto shapes and lines to make the layout, Always bringing the grid to front when covered too much. Now once the pic was complete I grouped everything together, saved the slide and the right clicked and "save picture as" whatever you want to name it in JPG format. Its pretty simple and fast if you already have a idea in your head that doesn't require too much detail and you know a little about power point. I use it for alot of gaming, just ask pat and lucky lol.

POWER POINT RANGER HERE!!! (Too many years in staff lol, those of you that have been in or around the military alot know what i mean).

Also, I think we should stay in hyperspace for a short while longer...Corros hates being disturbed while typing...and I think a couple things still need to be settled. Preferably without Corros being spaced.

You really should have bloody well answered his question the first time. I know the answer is in the thread, but Corros wasn't there at the time. Plus, Corros is still expecting to blow the brains out of the Imp. Captain and I seem to recall it being more lucrative for Jzoun to kill them.

After re-reading the psots concerning our mission I get the feeling that Jzoun will accept him dead but that alive would be better so he can handle him himself. I suggest we try alive but if need be as a loast resort kill him, we can always "shoot to wound" the guy the lock him away.

As for the basic plan I dunno i made some suggestions in the IC thread. And i just breifed everyone there too, just check back on my previouse posts for the info i have on the mission. I would like to suggest we go with the "damsel in destress" idea having the fighters seem as if they are attacking us somewhere along their patrol route so they can "come to the rescue" our ship moving in close behind them with the starfighters on the far side and us trying to supprise them by hitting them from the other side with our recessed all of a sudden there turrets. Its a bit of a risk for the fighters but i think it would work. Just before tipping our hand use our ship to jam all their coms so they "cavalry" does not come to the rescue. We have to do this RIGHT after their auto possitioning system updates. Then we will have 15 minutes plus however long it takes the "cavalry" to come to the rescue.

No about that Cavalry (The ISD) we might want to see if we can find out its patrol route before leaving on our mission so we can put as much distance between us and them for the mission giving us more time to make things happen. I do have data on weaknesses for the vessel we are attacking and the fighters and gunners will have that before we attack. With me and Brok flying the transport we should be able to dock quickly and the boarding party getting there as fast as possible. I suggest the boarding party use alot of Concussion grendes and then "double tap" all targets during there assault. Anyway let me know what everyone thinks about this.

As stated in the IC thread go back and read what we have already posted in the IC, If you have any better ideas bring them up now or we are going with Trace's plan.

Forgive me for being confused, but your post IC wasn't the clearest.

Corros is fine with the plan. As long as you give him some of those concussion grenades and send him in alone (you all go one way, he goes the other).

Also, Corros questions why in the world that there would be an ISD at Tatooine. Or why this captain would be at Tatooine. (Did I miss something when I reread the IC?)

to clear up any confusion towards the begining of the IC thread when everything was explained the captain is on a patrol ship that goes between tatooine and faleen along the corellian run. the ISD is within range to make a short hyperspace jump to back up any of the patrol ships. there are actually 4 or 5 patroll ships in this area due to increased pirate activity. so the ISD is not at tatooine but is within easy reach of it. the ship[ you are after is a Guardian Class Light Cruiser so shouldn't be much of a prob. just declare your plan IC and I'll take you out...I mean get on with thisB)

Hey jtuck, think its a good plan, but when did the imperials ever really fall hook/line for a damsel in distress call? even if it worked, they'd more than likely be targetting the damsel as well as the distressers on their approach, giving them the upper hand still. What i thought may be just a half assault, with the remaining two z-95's somehow, sending them at their ship. once distracted, maybe our freighter could hit them from a blind spot coming out of hyper around 60 seconds after the z's arrive. does our freighter have a stealth or jammers? this may also show their cards a little before hand giving us the jump on them. I just didnt think that the imperials who shot down a planet wouldn't do much for the damsel, especially in known pirate water. lol your plan may work, but if so, it'd may have to deal with an outside strike force from behind or another angle immediately after the acknowledgement of the damsel. i think either of these plans would work. as for the star destroyer, it's gonna be around anyway and we'd have some time for a quick strike. pirates like time because of salvaging, loot, and other stuff, but we are only going for one unit, so we'd be safe there. we may not be able to physically find info on its routes also because of those pirates. Mistaking us for a group of pirates would kill this whole mission right there, and having a quadron trying to locate us during the assault may not be our best bet. Would does anyone else think?

Doesn't matter to me what plan you guys use, Trace will be in the cockpit with Brok helping him pilot and working damage control. As for the whole Imperials hitting us too, hey, Trace doesn't know that, I may but he doesn't so just staying in character with him, not giving him my knowledge. So its pretty mych up to you guys I just Co-Pilot and Fix things that break. :D

As for Brok he's still with us he just only speeks when he has something to say. As for Vjerzag's character believe we spaced him too due to lack of player participation. LOL at the easily-retranslated by Trace comment.

As for the comment on Trace and Brok in the IC coming with on the boarding party, Yeah right, not in a million years bud, at least not Trace anyway, he's not exactly a fighter, but not a coward either, he just knows what he's good at and taking a ship by force ain't one of them, he's brains not brawn.

So looks like Sasha, Corros and Malo are it for the boarding party, so who's manning the turrets? two of them going to do it until time for boarding or are we going to have to operate them from the cockpit?

And it seems JT and DP both don't really care about who runs Malo, but could somebody please decide? Sheesh, I'd run him if it would speed up things!

Sorry for the delay. While I was waiting for everyone to get back from school, vacation etc my kid thought it was ok to delete things from the computer. Unfortunately it was the stuff for the game. have been working on it all again and just finished last night. Play will resume friday. Unfortunately due to a supreme lack of activity and even after several promises of getting it going again, I am going to quit this campaign.

If or when it ever starts up again, PM me and I will likely gladly rejoin. as it is, I am done here.

Well sorry to see it. I'll let you know when its going again. I have everything ready except for the fact that of the 5 PC's PsychoInfiltrator is the only one able to post. Star Warrior disappeared, Darth Phobius is in Iraq and posting is sketchy at best. Jtucker and Jedi Lucky are also on temporary hiatus. Once at least 2 of these others checks in and is ready to go we can start. I would not want to run this with only one PC and a bunch of NPC's. So when I get word I will let everyone know.

Due to the fact thatfirst I had some Rl probs then apparently so did everyone else, this game offically is down to one player (who is currently in Iraq and can't post real often) and myself (GM) I will be restarting this little slice of heaven in approximately two weeks.
