A new version of HeroMachine is out. It gives you many more options when trying to make your Star Wars characters now. You can even have a blaster pistol and a lightsaber!

That's So-Var Leet, an old character of mine. He was a Sith Lord for a while until he died in a hovercar incident (that was a fun mission).

That's my current character, Yash, the 17-year-old Falleen gunslinger.

That's our current crew's Scout and demolitions expert, Tess Raftin. Stunning, isn't she?

With all of it's bonuses, there is still something that needs to be fixed:

Sadly, HeroMachine does NOT do a convincing Wookiee yet. :D

You can download the latest version at www.heromachine.com

Groovy (does a double thumbs up)!

I've always thought Hero Machine was neat, and now that you can do sci-fi characters, let alone Star Wars is much cool.

My only concern is . . . can you do Twi'lek characters? (considering I don't have much in the way of other alien species in my game)

Addendum: I just tried the link, and all I got was the usual version with no sci-fi stuff. So-Var, are you talking about the beta version? You might want to clarify.

I don't see any changes. What am I missing?

Well, I got this off of my brother's machine after he went and downloaded it while I was off doing something. It might be the beta version.

But we downloaded it at school (I know, I know) and we just used the link on the right-side of the screen that says, "Download" and then we got it from the server in California, if that matters any.

And no, no Twileks. And no Ewoks, either. Right now, it's just human-like characters.

I do so love this program. I used it to make a "drawing" of one of my campaign villains. I emailed it to my players and they are more jacked than ever to meet him again :)

This program is the most. Kudos to the authors, many times over.

P.S. here's the villain :)

Looks good, dgswensen.

Donovan and I seem to have found the problem. To make the characters like the ones you see above, make sure you choose "Super-Hero" and then "Blaster". Then choose the gender and then "LOAD".

There isn't a choice of "Sci-Fi", and we think that's what confused everyone. I am truely sorry for the inconveniance.

And for the sake of bordom, I bring you Kronk:

Here are Kronk's stats:

Kronk: Adult Male Human, Soldier 11; Init -3 (-3 Dex); Def 12 (-3 Dex, +5 Class); Spd 10m; VP/WP 319/52; Atk +29/+24/+19 melee (1d3+18, punch), +8/+3/-2 ranged (by weapon); SV Fort +28, Ref +0, Will +0; SZ M; FP: 0; Rep: +13; Str 46, Dex 5, Con 49, Int 2, Wis 4, Cha 16.

Skills: Intimidate +20, Profession (Breaking Things) +14, Profession (Taking Names) +11, Read/Write Basic, Speak Basic

Feats: Armor Proficiency (heavy, light, medium), Blind-fight, Cleave, Endurance, Great Cleave, Great Fortitude, Heroic Surge, Power Attack, Skill Emphasis (Intimidate, Profession [Breaking Things]), Toughness, Weapons Group Proficiency (blaster pistols, blaster rifles, heavy weapons, simple weapons, vibro weapons)

And yes, this is a joke.

I made up one for one of my recurring NPC's a Dark Jedi named Yosef Tarn, and e-mailed it to my party. (I did play with the lightsaber a tad in Photoshop though)

Now, if the artists can do a SW module for the main species in sw plus the vong... well... do i need to say how popular that program's gonna be?

anyways, I felt the program is cool yet limiting in the color selection... so i did my screen capture and used my favorite image editing program to spruce it up a bit...

heres what i came up with ... sort of a indiana jones starwars style char ....
