One of the NPC's in my current campaign is a brash pilot who swears/curses often. The problem is I only know a couple curses and it becomes rather repeataive when I keep saying the two words over and over again. If you know any Star Wars curses please list them. Thank you in advance.

These are the only ones coming to mind at the moment (just not in a cursing mood, I suppose...)

Stang (used like sh*t)
Hell - Han says it.
Nerf Herder - used to describe someone stupid, smelly, or both.

There has to be more, though.

As others have said, "stang" is a good one. We also use "frel", though I'm not positive that it's from any SW source...

Hopefully The Admiral will see this thread. I'm almost positive he'll have some good ones to contribute.

Here's some from my rough Tatooine fringer campaign-

- Cloaker turd (Cloaker is a slang term for Jawas)
- Lekker (derogatory term for a Twi-lek)
- Rod (derogatory term for a Rodian)
- Grease-spot (general putdown)
- Skid (derogatory term for a lower-class citizen)
- Sand Squeezer (deropgatory term for a moisture farmer)
- Slugspot (takes meaning from spots on Hutt undersides of questionable origin)
- Pulserhead (derogatoryu term for Swoopers)
- Ronto (anyone who isn't that bright)
- Spitwallop (general putdown)
- Sandwrap (derogatory term for a sand-person)
- Worrt-humper (well, you know...)

and don't forget the ever popular Bantha Poodoo.

If I remember correctly, there were an exchange of insults between Anakin and Sebulba right before the pod race. I don't remember for a fact, but Anakin called Sebulba a "Slay-moh", which I believed to come out to "scum-bag"

I use "frell" on occassion. It's from the sci-fi show Farscape. Pretty much the idea is to replace any regular swear word with it.

"What the frell..."

"Go frell yourself"

"I didn't sign up for this frelling mission"

"Oh frell"

Definately a lot cleaner and I think more creative than just normal cussing.

This is a good question though... Most of the time in the books when someone swears it just says something like "han mutters a string of corellian curse words" or something like that. I always wanted to know what those words were though... I'm sure someone along the way made some up to fill in the blanks...

We use "frell" and "drek" in just about all our games to replace regular swearing... Also regular swearing works just fine...:D

Hey. Interesting thread! Hope folks don't mind if I borrowed some of the suggestions listed for my own game.

I don't have much to add here, but often I use "kwatz!!" for droids and AIs who curse. Not exactly from SW -- I believe I picked it up the expletive reading the Hyperion series. I don't know what it means exactly. Just sounds kinda funny when you suddenly hear it from a grumpy protocol droid.

And you beat me to it! I was going to suggest that one.

I'm afraid I'm of no further use... I let my players curse like sailors if they want to, with modern-day Earth profanity. It lets them get the message across and they don't get distracted.

Mind you, this is after years of making up my own curses and trying to get players to use them... I finally just gave up.

I believe that the word geek works really well as a swear word. Like He's a sports geek or she's a shopping geek or for SWRPG jedi geek or imperial geek or what have you. I work but to much and it looses it edge. O ya and i'm with darth maim I'm so Kool they call me Icey. B) That's my 1/2 cents of non-sense. :D

generally a good way to figure out the swares of a society is to find out certin cultual things. religon is a good one... most culutres base their swares heavily on religon (then there is us and our odd obsesssion with bodily functions:)

What are you saying Chris? That I'm foul-mouthed? ;)

Frel's a fave of mine, dunno if the double 'L' is Frascape official, I always assume it was a four letter word, the best swear words are.

My actual players usually just swear (and consequentlly, I have to sanitize the Game Quote list for public viewing)

But, some of my faves;

Asch (Prn 'arsh') "There's no way I can possibly get away with kicking Bishop Brennon up the asch."
Drokk: "Justice Department authorised tension release word."
F'drak "Oh f'drak that for a game of pin the helmet of the Nerf's asch."
Fuznubbit: "Check out the fuznubbit by the bar, frel me, I gotta go buy her a drink,,,"
Gudd: "This bantha burger tastes like gudd, want some?"
Hudzux: "I don't think you can talk about her hudzux in mixed company."
Jabba: "They got away? Oh jabba, we're totally jabba'd now."
Krel: "Captain Mancini? He's a total frelling gudd-eating krel."
Nardbangers "I'm not kidding, that fuznubbit with the cute asch had a hold-out right between her nardbangers, damn,,,"
Nucknords "Why is it every frelling time I meet an interesting woman, they kick me in the nucknords?"
Schel: “You’re schelling me, right? This is some good schel.”
Zart: "Loki's up on the third floor zarting the schel out of some Gotal fuznubbit."

my gamers use "Frag" alot. as in "what the frag is that" or "Frag this !".

other than that "sithspawn!" and "emporers black bones!" make frequent appearances.

theres also alot of fist pounding against the table ... but thats just healthy venting :)

My players have taken to using the following:

Poodoo
Sithspit

And when they really want to be vulgar (since we're all HGttG fans)

Belgium

Pardon my Bothan.

Darklighter

Hmm, lots of interesting variations here, and quite a few of them I've used.

Not mentioned were 'dang' and 'by the Force'. Anything with sith, or all by itself.

And Vader's balls - or the balls of anyone else particularly notable in the SW Universe. Obviously, the context of the situation will determine who's balls are selected. ;)

You know I'm grinnin'.... :D

A selection from the Farscape Illustrated Companion

Crank - "They blasted the crank out of me!"
Draz - "Let's get the draz out of here!"
Dren - "What a bunch of dren!"
Gris - "We beat the gris out of 'em!"
Grotless - "I'm scared grotless!"
Hezmana - "Where the Hezmana are we?"
Juxt - "What the juxt was that?"
Mivonks - intimate male body part - So from above, we'd have Vader's mivonks :D
Trat - "That smells like trat!"
Yotz - "Where the yotz are you going?"

And, for the record, it's "Frell" ;)

Some from Galaxy Guide 7 (mos Eisley)

Binary- "you can be so Binary sometimes" inability to compromise on an
issue.
Bloated one- specificaly jabba the hutt but can mean any hutt
Buy the depp- to die, usualy violently
Feed the sarlacc- to disappear, never be seen again.
Final Jump- to die, usually peacefully. origin is from the jump to
lightspeed
Gravel moggot- a person who takes advantage of others
Grease the servos (servomotors)- to bribe someone

Ive left the Tatooine specific ones out but ive had these used and they are fun, once the players get their head round them. sometimes they usualy resort to real world slang. Which is expected as their mental training is not up to much...:D . just kidding... still up for Tuesday night lads...lads.

A couple from the Ringworld books:

Tanj: acronym for There Ain't No Justice
Rishathra: sex outside of one's own species (generally referring to humanoid species). Oddly enough, this isn't used as a curse, but I imagine some would find the practice rather insulting...

Cursing droids:
- Bleeps and whirrs ala R2 in conjunction with basic or other languages, for example "What a load of (insert whirrs, clicks and other pointy-and-sharp sounds)!"
- Spitting out random machine code(sounds like a modem squeal on steroids).

Humans/Other biologicals:
- Frell
- Drek
- Sithspit
- Sonuva-(bantha/hutt etc.)
- Yotz (Used by Rigel in Farscape).
- When peaking Basic, curse words from other languages, such as Huttese, Dug etc.

Well, in a world of mine, (that i plan on revisiting soon)
there's a mayan-aztec-inca style of speech, so i have a few
that one of our PC's from there have adopted:

Maquahatl's dick! (Maquahatl is a god of theirs.)
Anuhalat (Don't ask... I don't know. Substitute for Sh$# or H&$$)
Quizanatol (Another 'quiz'zical one. Heheheh, I made a funny...)
Pahute (A lot like the HGttG 'Burgundy'... just unspeakable.)

There were a few other cool things with this planet, but the
most important one was there's a constant EMP radiating
from the core - no electronics, guys!

PS: There are a lot of people with us that say 'Frag' just in common
usage - FrozenJedi beat me to it. BRRRRRR.
