• Chiss House Phalanx Pilot

    The Chiss House phalanx is the premier starfighter squadron in the galaxy. However, since it is located in the Unknown Regions, most have not heard of them. Their leader, Jagged Fel, is an exceptional pilot, and leads his fellow squadmates well.

    Story Factors:
    - Cultured: The Chiss have a relatively advanced culture in the Unknown Regions, and have a society on par with the New Republic.
    - Preemptive Strikes: Chiss abhor preemptive strikes - they are a reactive culture. This is due to their honor system - they are a semi-feudal culture, similar to the Japanese (pre-Western intrusion), and warfare among the nobility must occur out in the open, after fair warning. Some Chiss (such as Mitth'raw'nuruodo, later known as Grand Admiral Thrawn) have gone against these beliefs, instead holding that it would be less costly if they struck first. Chiss society regards these people as freaks of nature, and goes to great lengths to exclude them from society - including imprisonment, isolation, or even death (but that is rare).
