Well, here we are, just the four of us...
I'm going to start making an effort to double post. Every time I post a new topic over on the Rancor Pit, I'm going to copy-paste over here, too. Maybe...

Honestly, it's not that great as written. Pretty much anything with a laser cannon can sit outside of its range and snipe it, and at Walker-Scale, starfighters will eat it up.
That's a shame... I'm tempted to start quietly plugging the site on Google+ and the Facebook communities...
Haven't been here in a while, but I'm sitting at home bored and decided to come take a look. It's kinda depressing to see there hasn't been any traffic here in close to a year. Anyone still out...
Well, I basically just said "yes", including an optional rule that shows how the Grenade roll can affect the deviation. Make of it what you will.
Ok, so based on the RAW, grenades deviate 1D meters at Medium Range and 2D at Long (using hand grenades at short or point blank would be foolhardy in the extreme). Maybe use that as the base...
I know, but since we are already discussing the inequity of the RAW for grenade scatter, why not explore all possibilities? Under the RAW, success = grenade lands right at target's feet, while...
You could also inverse the rule by allowing grenades to hit closer to the target based on how well the thrower rolled.
You could also replace the base of 5 meters with the random deviation dice numbers listed in the RAW, so that at Point Blank or Short range (assuming characters were dumb enough to use grenades at...
Sorry, but I'm pretty sure that archive is long gone now. I have a selection of files that I printed out hard-copy, but it is by no means comprehensive. I think Empress Jae let the official site go...
I go with even 4D steps and use the following (with Static Modifiers genned up using the 2D=7 rule of thumb):
Character = 0D
Speeder = +4D (+14)
Starfighter / Walker = +8D (+28)
Escort = +12D...
Do you run into issues with the flat modifier reducing or eliminating "lucky shot" results on Wild dice?
Applied like the static modifier in D6 Space?
I'm confused by this, because you just posted a scale modifier chart above using the bonus dice method. I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I am genuinely curious how you translate a scale...
Considering how muddled and vague the Command skill and coordination rules are with regards to commanding multiple vessels in space combat, no, I have not. However, I am just going to go out on a...
Grimace, you seem more interested in avoiding "Power Creep" than you are in accurate stats. Here are the relevant quotes from The Last Command:
"Six Imperial Star Destroyers had come in from...
Well, what ELSE would they be doing? At the time, I didn't feel the need to quote the entire relevant passage from The Last Command, but at that point, Garm Bel-Iblis had just pulled ALL of his...
Unfortunately, WEG has a well-deserved reputation for poor quality control. Very little is known about the actual capabilities of the Golan stations, apart from a few throwaway mentions in various...
Perhaps, but the fact remains that WEG stats do not take that into account, so the only way to represent how those factors contribute to a ship or station's viability under fire (short of a complete...

The quote from The Last Command actually reads "That left only the two battle stations still in danger, and they were proving themselves more capable of absorbing damage than Leia had realized they...
The only RPG I've seen with guidelines for this is D&D, which uses the following:
-Padded, leather, hide, studded leather or chain shirt dons in 1 minutes (hastily in 30 seconds) and removes in 1...
I agree. Unfortunately, for one Golan III to stand up against three ISD II's (as they are stated to do in The Last Command), the numbers need to be approximately that high. It's either that or ISD...
