i like the idea of starting as a Padawan and then having the different Knighthoods as prestige classes. it fits well with the Jedi Order.

yeah there are plenty of examples of half breeds in Star Wars. some races (like the Sith after the Dark Jedi's arrival mentioned above) eventually came to consist entirely of a half breed. I think...
