I was wondering what the Yuuzhan Vong capital ships are called, and if I could get a description of them? A reference would do fine, as I have access to the novels, but haven't read them yet.

Heya Wade, figured I'd help you out as much as possible.
I'm not exactly sure which ships you are referencing or if you mean all Vong cap ships. I can tell you they are broken down into different types of analogs (i.e. cruiser analog, frigate analog, corvette analog, etc..) based on their relative strength in comparison to New Republic ships.I was wondering what the Yuuzhan Vong capital ships are called, and if I could get a description of them? As far as specific names, I can help you out on some of this:
Kor Chokk Grand Cruiser-equivalent to a Super Star Destroyer
Matalok Cruiser-equivalent to a Strike Cruiser
Miid Ro'ik Warship-equivalent to an Imperial-class Star Destroyer
Chuun M'arh Frigate-equivalent to a Nebulon-B-Frigate
I'Friil Ma-Nat Corvette-equivalent to a Corellian Corvette
Uro-ik V'alh Battleship-equivalent to a Mon Calamari Cruiser
A-vek Iiluunu Fighter Carrier-equivalent to an Escort Cruiser
Uumufalh Gunship-equivalent to a Corellian Gunship
That's about all I could find unfortunately. Most of the above came straight out of the New Jedi Order Sourcebook. I hope that helps a bit Wade.![]()

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
This was of great value. I was setting up a small scale attack on Kashyyyk, and afterwards one of the players tells me the reasons that the attack wasn't a success is also in the novels.
I have a lot of thinking to do, but this info will help that plan develop too!![]()

Not that I mean to correct one of a higher rank but from the novels themselves I have the following corrections:
The Matalok is a copy of the stardard MC 80 Mon Calamari Star Crusiers. This is described partially in Rebel Stand (NJO Series).
This information I am not quite sure of. I believe the Uro-ik V'alh Battleship is a copy of a larger Mon Calamari ship. I thought there is one with a larger MC number (100 I believe......not sure). This is a large command-style cruiser, even more effective than the MC/90s (which Han Solo was commanding as his flagship in the Zinsj hunt [X-wing series #5 Wraith Squadron, #6 Iron Fist, & #7 Solo Command]. The MC90 was an improvement and slightly larger than the MC80 series, of which Solo's fleet had as well.![]()
Armadious Coughs, (In case you are wondering what I am doing in a thread about the NJO - Just beacuse I do not like it, does not mean that I could pass up the oppertunity to get the sourcebook for 1/2 price at a used book store)
>There is also the Sh'rip Sh'pa spawn ship - a supply vessel call it a VIC 1 without the missiles.
>The Vua'spar interdictor - A big interdictor
>Yorik-Stronha spy ship - A sneaky corvette
>And do not forget the Worldships.
I would also call the Dread Weapon a Capital ship even though it is called a creature in NJOSB
Actualy the Mon Remonda is a MC80b, an upgrade over the MC80a but not enough of one that they upped the number. The MC90 did not appear until the Jedi Acadamy Triliogy.Originally posted by Jerome Leavy

Does anyone have a link to a site with Pics of the vong ships??
You cannot dodge it if you don't know it is coming, and you cannot shoot at what you don't know is there!
These are the only ones i've been able to find. Not the best but better then nothing.
