    STAR WARS:
    Bio-hazard
    (star wars music)

With the threat of the Yuuzhan Vong over it is a time of healing, the various powers in the galaxy have sent fleets to reclame their lost planets. Although a few Yuuzhan Vong factions cling to the old ideals most of the fighting is over. However on the western rim a new horror is slowly awaking, one that will plunge the crew of a galactic allience cruiser into a desparate fight for survival...

Swimming through the depths of space the corellian gun corvette Phoenix continued to stalk the hyperspace jump point. The ship had seen better days but she was still more than a match for what she was hunting, the Yuuzhan Vong invasions had brought about a severe rise in piracy in the western rim, the pirate ships were mostly reconditioned freighters but any unarmed transport stood no chance.

Capatin Auron signed as he walked across the Phoenix's bridge, he was pushing fifty and near retirement but he was not done yet, with the ship being undermanned, expirience was about the only edge they were going to get out here. "shall i plot a new course, captain?" the navagator asked,
"no, just circle the area but be ready to jump if we run into more than we can handle." The navagator nodded and looked back to his screen, Auron looked out through the plexiglass viewport of the bridge, the're current target was an undergunned interdictor cruser that had been preying on ships for the past month or so. Once they engaged the ship the plan was to board it in any way possible and get the group of troopers and two Jedi to storm the bridge.

Auron began to think about the crew and what they were probably doing now...

OCC: since i will be absent for a while don't go too far into the story.

Cordell lay in his chair, his feet up on a table, and his hat over his head. This was how he normally slept. Cordell, like his father, wasn't born on any planet. He was born in space. He was, and always would be, a spacer. Cordell had been to many planets, and honestly hated most of them.

Coruscant -> to noisy and busy. Warm

Yavin 4 -> noisy, in a different way, and really warm.

Nar Shadaa -> Noisy, in a dirty way. Unlike his Father, cordell couldn't stand this place. Warm

Naboo -> Beautiful, in that I can't touch it or it breaks way. Wet. Warm

Tatooine -> Sand Everywhere, Freaking HOT!! Two suns. Who the hell needs two suns? honestly. That's just being greedy.

He enjoyed space, and everything about it.

Beacon was crouching on his bunk - reading the latest issue of 'Treasures of the Unknown'. He was currently salivating over an ancient pendant, inset with beautifully haunting yellow and red crystals. It was only an artists rendering of an old legend - but he lusted after it nonetheless....

Currently his collection was very small - two items - a ceremional jewel-encrusted dagger, and half of a tribal mask that he had 'recovered' from his last job. All of the rest had been hawked off - for far less than what each was worth - to pay debts and book passage on the various freighters who had been outrunning the Vong.

This was his first real job in months. But that was okay. They were heading out in the unknown - and the very thought made Beacon's horns tingle with excitement.

    He continued reading..

Danae perched on a stool at the head of the table in a small operating theatre in the Phoenix's sickbay, administering anesthesia & monitoring the patient's vitals. She used her connection to the Force to do the latter, although she kept her eyes on the readouts at her station. She did not want another lecture from the ship's chief surgeon. She'd already endured one this week.
Her superior was always calling her down for something. While he appreciated how she could heal with the Force, the very idea of a "medtech" (as he thought of her) who could do without the tools of the trade also discomfitted him, so he was always finding fault with something she was doing or saying.
Once the procedure was over, and their patient recovering under the watchful photoreceptors of a 2-1B, Danae grabbed a sandwich, then headed back to her quarters to rest and change. She felt the boarding party would soon be ordered to assemble and she wanted to have a little time to relax first.
Later, Danae returned to the sickbay to get her medical gear. The surgeon took in the tunic, thigh-boots, and bracers she usually wore for such "missions," along with the pair of lightsabers that hung on her belt along with her medical bag. He shook his head and grumbled , "You look like the lead in some low-budget, no-plot, inaccurate history holodrama instead of a Jedi."

Cordell grumbled as he tried to get comfortable. He was trying to sleep, but he was constantly being barraged by a force user. Cordelled sighed as he sat up. He knew that the barrage was unintentional, it was just common when somebody used their gift to heal a large amount of people, then sometimes their force usage began to spread out.

Cordell dipped his head as his hat fell to to his waiting hands. Cordell stood up.

"Well," He said aloud, to nobody in particular, "I guess I better see what's going on." With a flick of the wrist and a flip of the hat, Cordell rolled the fedora up his arm, bounced it off of his elbow, and landed it on his head.

Cordell, doubled checking his lightsaber, and more importantly his blaster, were safetly secure, he walked out and headed towards the bridge.

Beacon finished his magazine - and was just wondering what to do next when he picked up someone walking past outside.

He couldn't tell who it was - his horns weren't quite that good - but he could tell, with a little concentration - that the individual was purposeful in it's stride.

He jumped off his bed, grabbed his poncho, slung it on and attached his data pad to his belt.

The person in the corridor was a man - wearing a long black trenchcoat and a black fedora. He was a Jedi - or at least carried a lightsaber. Beacon had always wanted a lightsaber - for collection purposes only - and he spent a second coveting this man's one.

Beacon had seen him around the ship, but hadn't really spoken to him before now.

He smiled - close-lipped - as often an openmouthed grin scared people who weren't used to lots of teeth.

"Are you heading somewhere friend?" he asked.

Cordell felt the person come towards him. He always had a strong ability to sense his surroundings using the force, it was one of the factors that made Cordell, his father Jett, and a long line of Weaver before him, excellent pilots.

He looked over his shoulder and saw the Gotal admiring his lightsaber, or the little that could be seen from under his jacket. Cordell's mind raced as he processed the information.

Gotal. From Antar 4. Weird planet.....fcuked up weather. Warm.

Cordell raise his hand and tugged the corner of his fedora.

"Howdy." He said. Cordell let his his glaved hand fall from his hat and land by his side. Cordell always kept his hand in a pair a fingerless gloves. Many people commented how he was just trying to be the next han Solo, but in reality he was hiding a bad scar he recieved in the Vong War.

Cordell shrugged as he walked towards the bridge.

"I'm heading towards the bridge." Cordell informed. "I couldn't sleep. Some Jedi using the force is disturbing me sleep, so I thought I'd head to the bridge."

Cordell stopped and extended his hand to the Gotal.

"The name's Cordell Weaver! Who might you be?"

Beacon took the proffered hand in a light grip.

"Beacon," he said in response. "I've seen you on board ship, but haven't had the chance to introduce myself. My apologies."

He glanced again at the lightsaber hilt - he couldn't help it. He also couldn't help asking about it..

"Nice lightsaber. Did you make it yourself? What crystals did you use? Sorry again. I'm a collector - of sorts - and i've always had a fascination with lightsabers. Please don't take umbrage."

Danae finally headed to the bridge, wrapped in her long deepest-green hooded cloak, stopping a couple times to speak to crew she knew. She'd eased some of her loneliness -- always before she'd been accompanied by her grandfather, her only surviving kinsman -- by sharing some of the crew's pastimes.

As she turned a corner, pulling the hood back over her head, Danae saw a Gotal and a human in a black trenchcoat conversing. Is he the other Jedi the navigator was telling me about? she wondered. Danae started to call a greeting when the black clad man spoke,
"I couldn't sleep. Some Jedi using the force is disturbing me sleep, so I thought I'd head to the bridge."
Although it answered her question, the healer was perplexed. He can't mean me? There was no third Jedi aboard, but the simple reading of a patient's condition rippled the Force very little.

But the Gotal didn't pursue the comment, intrigued by the man's lightsaber. Danae couldn't help but imagine his reaction to the older of the 2 'sabers she wore.

Her face shadowed by the hood, its edge bordered like the garment's front and hem with "ghost" embroidery, the black stitchery hardly darker than the forest green fabric, the healer made as if to go around them.

    Cordell shrugged.

"No harm no foul buddy." He began, "I've been on this ship just as long, and I havn't introduced myself other."

Cordell reached for his belt, looped his ginger into a small loop attachted to his lightsaber, and spun the hilt on his finger. He held out his blade for the Gotal to see.

'Yetp. Made it a long time ago. The hilt is built from a part from my family droid Tweek. To Tweek it was an honour to have a lightsbaer built from a part of him." Cordell replaced the blade onto his belt. "I actually have two crystals in mine. 1 is a Turquoise crsytal, and the other is a part of an Krayt Dragon Pearl that my Dad found when he was younger."

Cordell paused for a second as he felt the Jedi pass him, so much that it almost gave him a headache. That was his gift. It is said that every Jedi has a speciality. The legendary jedi twin had abilities, Jaina a skilled pilot and Jacen a skilled with emphathic abilities. For Cordell, his 'blessing' was the ability to be quite skilled in sensing the force. His sensing ability was amplified, so it was as if a mouse yelling into a megaphone everytime he sensed the force in someone. It was another reason why he like space.

He turned to the person in the 'Ghost embroidery'.

"Hey hold on," Cordell said, "You're the other jedi arn't you?"

"Hey hold on," Cordell said, "You're the other jedi arn't you?"
Danae paused when the man called to her, wincing as she felt the other human's momentary pain.

She shook the hood back, and smiled tentatively at the pair. "Among other things, yes. I am Danae Solomani." She hesitated, then asked, "Ah, are you well, Jedi -- ?"

Cordell raised an eyebrow as he suddenly reliazed that the oher Jedi was an attractive woman. This ould play to his advantage. It is true that Cordel was in reality, nothing but a scoundrel, but then again who in his family wasn't, but as he learned with his mom, and as everybody knew from Leia and Hans, the nice girls poften fell for the scoundrels.

Cordell romoved his hat, bowed, took her hand, and gave it a kiss.

"My name Cordell Weaver, and i feel so much better after meeting you." He said with a smile. he straighten himself, his eyes never leaving her pair of dazzling greens. "Suddenly I both feel better and now have the impression that this mission will far more enjoyable now that I have met both Beacon here, as well as the fair Danae Solomani."

With a flick of the wrist and a flip of the hat, Cordell rolled the fedora up his arm, bounced it off of his elbow, and landed it on his head.

"Would you care to escort us to the Bridge?" Cordell said with a grin.

Beacon took in Weaver's explanation with interest.
part of an Krayt Dragon Pearl
    - his eyebrows rose. Krayt Dragon Pearls were very, very rare.

His horns picked up another individual coming his way so he moved to the side to let whoever it was past.

It was a human female - another Jedi by the looks of it - with two lightsabers! One of them looked very ancient indeed! Beacon forced himself to look away for a second - trying to conceal a sudden shake in his knees.

Weaver asked the woman a question - she introduced herself - Danae Solomani.

Apparently Weaver was quite taken by her - Beacon could sense a sudden change in his mood - not quite smitten - but playful perhaps?

He watched the interchange - always curious as to how individuals interacted...

Auron was pacing whe deck of the bridge when the comms officer spoke up "sir, i'm geting a transmission, its very faint and i think that it's impirial." Auron truned sharply arround to look at the officer "are you cirtain?" he asked, the officer shook his head "not entirely but it's definatly a distress signal"
"very well" Auron said walking back to where the officer was sitting, "pinpoint it's location and send it to the nav computer, for a hyperspace jump" he then walked over to the captain's chair where he usually sat and pulled out a comm-link.
"all hands, we have picked up a distress signal, it may be the pirates we have been searching for, prepare for jump into hyperspace in 15 minutes."

Beacon was distracted from the two Jedi by the captain announcing over the intercom:
all hands, we have picked up a distress signal, it may be the pirates we have been searching for, prepare for jump into hyperspace in 15 minutes.
His horns pricked up slightly at that - distress beacon - pirates? didn't sound right. But anyway - they were heading into hyperspace in 15 minutes. He decided that sleep was the order of the day, politely excused himself from the two Jedi and made his way back to his room.

Wonder what'll we find? - his thoughts drifted from treasure to terror as he lay on his bunk..
