Kal can scan one craft per turn and I'll assume he starts with the fighters.
The nearest headhunter is designated Poniard-2. It, like you and (as far as you can tell so far) the other craft are moving at the best possible speed of the light freighters it appears to be escorting (i.e. Space Speed 2). It's shields are powered up (SR15)...as are its weapons: two triple blaster cannons and medium concussion missiles...though it doesn't appear to be trying to get a lock on you. Rather, it is taking up a position to your eight o'clock.
The other two headhunters and the cloakshape are likewise forming a line across behind you, as if to escort the freighters just behind them.
For Wes:
The fighters (and freighters), not so clearly as to be deliberate, but appear to also slew their course as to maintain the appearance that they're following or accompanying you.
For Vlossk:
the guns power up with a most satisfying hum, and the twin grids of the fire control system appear on the console before you (think: Millennium Falcon turret gun-display).

So you're not going to depart from your course and lend aid?
And please don't hold back with your posts. I'd rather long posts full of your characters thoughts, idle actions and the like and the like rather than lots of dialogue-only ones (not that anyone's falling into that rut yet). You know all about your characters but the rest of us only know what you tell us through your posts.

I have been waiting for Paladine to post his opinion, to see if I could get a 3 on 1 argument going, or if the crew would be split down the middle and we have to figure out some compromise. I won't lie in saying I am curious to see what is on this ship.

Like CJ, I'm kind of holding off on posting until I see how the lines are drawn here.

Lieutenant tells me he's likely to be busy until the summer, so I'll be NPCing Kal until he can rejoin us (or I do him in).
I'll post his thoughts on the current predicament soon.

I checked the specifics of Farseeing in Saga and, unfortunately, it states that the target must be someone you have met or know. Only having spoken via comms...is not strong enough IMO.
Sorry.

Understandable. It was worth a try. Are they close enough to use sense surroundings? I know ranges are interpreted differently in space.

Hmm...can you give me a reference for Sense Surroundings? I can't find it in my Saga book (at this late, sleepy hour, admittedly).

Pg. 77 of the Core Rulebook.
I don't know if that helps in our situation or not. I guess it depends on whether the ship in distress is in visual range or not.As a swift action, you can make a DC 15 use the Force check to ignore the effects of cover and concealment when making Perception checks to detect or observe targets. Increase the DC by 5 if this ability is used against targets with total cover.

To be honest I don't think, after reading Sense Surroundings fully just now, it'll help. The other ships formed up behind you, with the fighters between you and the freighters (including the one now broadcasting the SOS).
So...ignore the SOS? Or leave the queue and loop back toward them? Or...?

I edited my post to correct my misreading of the rules.
