My sci-fi Wedding

Just thought I'd share a bit of my Wedding Day with some fellow sci-fi fans

For the Wedding Service we played the Wedding March by Queen, from the Flash Gordon soundtrack, so we had an electric guitar Wedding March. The background music while guests were seated and while we signed the register was music from Doctor Who.
And our music to leave to was none other than the Star Wars Main Theme with our ushers holding up Lightsabers.



Yes, I do have the Qui Gon Jinn hair style going on there too.

While it wasn't planned to be a theme wedding the day was very much taken over by Doctor Who after that. I think you can see why.





The Dalek & TARDIS were there specially for our Wedding.

And to finish off we spent our Honeymoon at Wookey Hole.

Congrats Sithspawn, and thanks for sharing! I got married in 2008. I had our church pianist play Led Zeppelin while guests were being seated at our wedding. There were no Star Wars elements at my wedding, but they were in force at our reception afterwards. The music playing when our wedding party entered the room and were introduced one-by-one was The Throne Room (Yavin award ceremony). And then my wife and I triumphantly entered to the Star Wars main theme at the beginning of all the films. It was glorious!

P.S. I almost forgot that I made our wedding cake topper using Bespin Han and Yavin Throne Room Leia action figures. I made them look like they were holding hands.

I believe they were. Can't recall over the adrenaline rush and the Star Wars theme blasting out.
The green one (Lukes) is mine and the purple one (Maces) my wifes, but we forgot to tell the ushers. But they got it the right way round anyway. But it was just a 50/50 guess
