Default FP for cp trade in

I know in the 2e base (blue cover) book, page 54, it specifies that for non force sensitive characters, since they can only bank roll up to 5 force points, any extra that they earn, must be cashed in for CP (3cp per force point). BUT in the 2e R&E book, i don't see anything mentioned on it, just the same "non force sensitives cap out at 5 force points". . No mention of whether they cash them in.

    Who uses this rule?

    Not I.
That really strikes me as a mechanic play, pure and simple. In terms of actual in-game usage, Character Points are mechanically and inherently different from Force Points. There shouldn't even BE a conversion between the two, in my opinion.

    But that's just me.

So since non force sensitives can't bank more than 5 what happens to any they earn that would place them above that? They just lose them>?

Or just award them something else that they really want: ship, armor, weapon, promotion, or whatever.

    I like this option.

My sole regret, as I initiate the scuttling sequence that will send my fusion pile critical, is that I will not be present in .03 seconds.
